Early Years Tutoring (Age 3 - Age 5)
Helping your little ones meet their developmental milestones!
Most young children's learning is done through the means of play. Due to this, I will use continuous provision such as colouring, painting, funky fingers, messy play, lego blocks and sport equipment to help your child meet their developmental goals and early learning goals.
I will first meet with you as parents/carers to discuss the development matters model, which is what all early year’s settings use to assess a child’s development to see where you think your child’s development is. I will then introduce myself to your child and get to know a little bit about them before the tutoring sessions commence.
Every session will be play based, as learning through play is essential at such a young age of development. Every week will be specifically focused on different targets according to the development matters model. These will be based on personal, social and emotional development; communication and language; physical development; reading; writing; numbers; shapes, space and measure; people and communities; understanding the world and expressive arts and design.
I will create different stations for the student to use and I will assess if they are meeting different goals and what they may need to do to achieve them in order to achieve the next stage of development. This can be done on a 1:1 basis and can also be parent interactive if you or your child wishes.
